Guru Ram Das jis Gurpurb celebrated

The Harmandar Sahib all decked up on the birth anniversary of Guru Ram Das in Amritsar
The 473rd parkash utsav of the fourth Sikh Guru and founder of the holy city of Amritsar, Guru Ram Das, was celebrated with great fervour here today.
A gurmat samagam was organized at the Golden Temple to mark the occasion while a large number of devotees paid obeisance at the holy shrine. Various parbhat pheries led by the Panj Piaras were taken out from Gurdwara Atari Sahib at Sultanwind village, Gurdwara Pipli Sahib and Bhai Veer Singh Hall on the Lawrence Road and passed through different bazars of the city. These were accorded a warm welcome when they reached the Harmandar Sahib.

The Golden Temple and its surrounding buildings were illuminated and fireworks were burst in the evening.
