115 year-old Sikh passes away in Punjab

oldsikh.jpg Bachan Singh, a resident of village Mustafabad of district Fatehgarh Sahib recently passed away at the age of 115 . He was reported to be healthy at the time of his death. His father had also died at the age of 105.  His wife passed away a long time ago. Bachan Singh had two sons and one daughter but one son had already passed away.

Ravinder Singh, grand son of Bachan Singh, who is a Sub Inspector with Chandigarh police informed that his grand father led a simple life and always consumed nutritious food. He was fond of milk and desi ghee. During his life Bachan Singh never suffered from any serious disease.Ravinder said that though his grand father was not well educated but he had knowledge of Gurbani and holy Guru Granth Sahib.

The Antim Ardas of Bachan Singh will be held at village Mustafabad near Bassi Pathana on October 26.
